    Casa de Bandini reopens: Casa de Bandini, the Mexican restaurant that Diane Powers operated in Old Town San Diego for 25 years until she lost her lease four years ago and was forced to close, reopens Thursday in The Forum shopping center in Carlsbad. Like the old Casa de Bandini (which operated in a historical 1829 adobe in Old Town), the new restaurant features the same colorful decor: Mexican folk art on the walls, festive umbrellas, Zapotec weavings, antiques and a hand-carved stone fountain.
